Calculate Child Support

You can calculate your possible child support payment amount two ways: online, using our Child Support Calculator, or on paper, using worksheets.

Both methods only produce an estimate. ORS or the court decides the final amount.

ORS staff cannot help you with these forms.

For questions or help completing the forms, contact an attorney or legal services organization.

Online Child Support Calculator

ORS’s Child Support Calculator automatically estimates child support amounts based on the information you enter.

The calculator also completes the necessary worksheets for you.

Printed Child Support Calculations

If you prefer to work on paper, you can calculate support amounts using printable worksheets. These worksheets reflect the child support tables in Utah Code Title 81 Chapter 6 Part 3.

Establishment of Child Support Guidelines

A Child Support Advisory Committee reviews the child support guidelines and may recommend changes. The committee members create a final report upon completion of their review and then are disassembled. Any recommended changes must be passed by the Utah State Legislature, which then become finalized in state law. The current guidelines became effective January 1, 2023. The next quadrennial review will be in 2025.
