Obtaining Information


The Office of Recovery Services provides a number of ways for constituents and others to obtain or report information.

Child support cases

ORS operates a trained Customer Service Unit (CSU) to provide child support case status and answer case-specific questions from custodial parents, non-custodial parents, and third parties-- such as employers-- when information cannot be obtained via the Automated Information System.

  • For questions about child support policy or questions about federal or state law governing child support not related to a specific case send an e-mail message

Government Records Access Management Act

  • Please keep in mind that in most instances, all requests for case specific information must be handled in accordance with the Government Records Access Management Act.

Public Assistance Fraud

Effective July 1, 2003, the department of Workforce Services assumed responsibility for investigating public assistance fraud, collecting public assistance overpayments, and operating the fraud hotline.
  • Fraud Hotline: Callers may leave anonymous information regarding possible incidents of fraud for public assistance programs 7 days a week, 24 hours per day
